The government should act to curb this damage and ensure that the cost of air travel reflects its environmental impact. Since I've become aware of these issues, I have stopped travelling by air. I enjoy flying but have not used a plane for several years now. Individuals who are concerned about global warming should avoid air travel unless it is absolutely necessary. We can't complain about airport expansion and then take our summer holidays on the other side of the planet... |

This is a major disconnect in government policy to reduce emissions by 60 per cent by 2050. I will do whatever I can to oppose airport expansion because it is irrational and unethical. |
