Below is the name and personal statement of opposition
to airport expansion of everyone who has signed the pledge.

I am opposed to the airport expansion for all the obvious reasons of pollution, global warming, environmental, noise levels, housing prices, traffic congestion etc.,. It is simply not a viable option, nor is it justified. This is all about money at the end of the day and i am afraid there are more important things in life,ie peoples lives and most importantly, their health. This is not a priority nor is it needed. There are NO advantages at all to this going ahead and that should be a good enough reason in itself.

On a personal level - I object to the expansion of the airport because I live in the area and already feel that the noise levels from the airport are causing sleep disturbance and annoyance. On a global level, the catastrophic results of global warming and the need to act now to reverse it, make any thoughts of airport expansion sheer lunacy.

I agree too

Aircraft emit huge amounts of greenhouse gasses. The airport serves the area very adequately already, there is no need to expand.

I agree

I do not want Bristol Airport to expand, it causes enough noise pollution already. The more logical airfield to have been developed is Filton Airport.

We just cannot let the airport expand, with all it's disastrous consequences

We cannot go on ignoring the evidence on Global Warming and the need to cut carbon emissions. The politicians talk endlessly, but do not act. Airport expansion on the discredited "predict and provide" principle, which panders to commercial interests, must stop!
