I feel strongly that we don't need more opportunity to fly, and that investing in airport expansion is a retrograde policy. We need investment (social and financial) in developing local business, local work, local travel, local holidays. Economic and 'consumer choice' arguments are spurious: an unsustainable economy can't be a strong one and a ravaged environment will offer no choices.

Bristol airport is big enough already for the area. To expand it further will have a devastating impact on not just the village around the airport but the whole area because there are no clear routes to the airport just lots of minor roads. The A38 is not able to cope with the current traffic levels in either direction and the motorway is far away and accessed via villages like long ashton and failand to the north and to the south, congresbury and wrington. A railway link is a joke and a light transport system will never happen.
Bristol airport is in to rural location and to expand it will have a huge impact on the area that will be ruined forever.
Do not allow the short terms gains of cheap air travel ruin the long term health, beauty and environment of this area.

Airport expansion is totally unacceptable in view of the prospect of global warming from increased emissions.

I have young children and we all work incredibly hard to make this world a better place for our future generations. But we are just one small family compared to huge projects such as this, who have the power to save or destroy.

The increasing number of flights passing noisily over our house has already spoiled our quality of life and the peace in our village. I cannot bear the prospect of more air traffic in the future.

This expansion is entirely to generate money for the company and encourage people to trvel a long way to holdiay. Noise, CO2, road congestion, loss of green fields and encouraging the idea that it is necessary to travel very fast to have a good holiday. Selfishness pandering to selfishness - already out of date! STOP IT RESIST

I am strongly opposed to the expansion of bristol airport. I beleive that the local environment (my environment) is being sacrificed in favour of company profits. I also beleive that the full environmental impact has not been exposed and the quality of life for local residents will be greatly reduced.

Airport expansion is extraordinarily shortsighted, and puts profit before the future of our children and our planet.
