More Planes. More Pollution. More Noise. More Traffic. Tranquil countryside becomes noisy. Less Sleep. Protect scenic countryside from aircraft noise.

In this age where air travel is clearly a significant factor contribution to the global warming crisis, how can we even be thinking of expanding our airports? The motivations for expansion are purely commercial and aimed at lining the pockets of individuals or corporations. We should be thinking locally for produce, holidays, jobs, etc eather than making it easier to travel abroad.

Whilst plane travel is now seen as the norm, we must appreciate that there is a cost to our actions. We need to learn to live within our means, both financially and environmentally. Unbridled expansion is not the answer. We have enough choice as it is.

As a local resident and occasional user of Bristol Airport myself, I am convinced that there is no serious case for further expansion. Such expansion would be bad for the city, the environment and the people of Bristol.

As I understand it the number of people flying from UK airports has been dropping recently. I suppose that people feel less able to affrod it with all of the economic fuck up going on. Who would benefit from airport exapnsion? No one. An over-wealthy minority will speculate on all of our futures to gain construction contracts or sell retail spaces, none of which is needed nor will give any benefit to the vast majority of the population. Air transport is the fastest growing source of greenhouse gases and if we keep ignoring the warnings of climate scientists then there's a terrible danger of reaching a tipping point and letting all hell loose. Also, airports are noisy and ugly. No more thank you. X

Airport expansion is clearly bonkers.

I am opposed to airport expansion because of the need to reduce emissions. Expanding airports seems to be a backwards step in trying to achieve this.

It`s about time the decision makers to into account the views of the people who have to live with the decisions
