I suppose that people feel less able to affrod it with all of the economic fuck up going on. Who would benefit from airport exapnsion? No one. An over-wealthy minority will speculate on all of our futures to gain construction contracts or sell retail spaces, none of which is needed nor will give any benefit to the vast majority of the population. Air transport is the fastest growing source of greenhouse gases and if we keep ignoring the warnings of climate scientists then there's a terrible danger of reaching a tipping point and letting all hell loose. Also, airports are noisy and ugly. No more thank you. X |
