No. Name Statement
4742 Henri Stop the airport expansion!
4741 Elaine Protect the environment and the rural villages and countryside from this great expansion. We need to protect and save what is already here.
I don\'t want us to lose our lovely countryside in this part of Bristol, not to mention the impact all this is having on global warming and bio-diversity.
4740 the government needs to step n and decline the expansion. what better way to let britain take steps to reduce global warming and show leadership in this area, rather than letting other countries take the lead.
4739 jim I have major concerns about the economic benefits weighed against the climate change implications of Bristol airport’s expansion plans.
4738 Thomas Venables Air travel is the single biggest emitter of carbon that an individual has direct control over. If we are serious about mitigating climate change we need to be serious about cutting back flights.
4737 Airport expansion creates demand rather than responding to it. We don\'t need more low cost environmentally damaging air travel.
4736 Twiggy I am a teacher in Ontario whose pension funds are being used for this project. I severely object to the use of "my" money in this way and to the expansion of the airport. I have seen first hand the ruination of the British country side and rural life by the building of your huge motor ways. Please stop while there is something left to save.
4735 My concerns are environmental and aimed mainly at our disappearing flora and fauna. Ok, there might not be any threatened species in an area, but if you tarmac it over, how about one of 2 possibilities... increasing the chances of other species becoming endangered AND decreasing the chances of helping those that are threatened because there\'s nowhere for them to live. Apologies for the none-to-intelligent wording, I know what I\'m trying to say!
4734 Use the train not the plane!
4733 Dianne Stokes I am opposed to airport expansion even though I used to love to fly because flying is so damaging to the environment in the way it raised the carbon in the atmosphere and we must change our behaviour to reduce it.
